GRAVITAS – is often described as the most important of the 14 classical Roman virtues; it connotes dignity, self-awareness, self-regulation and substance. Rather than being a goal for the elite in Roman society, gravitas was something that all who cared – and dared – could aspire towards.

Gravitas represents a purposeful and cultivable way of being, that has particular significance for contemporary leadership development. GROWGRAVITAS is a new research and training initiative for 2022 by Tom Loncar Executive Coaching that examines the science of confidence, connection and prosocial impact (for initial ideas, see my 2016 Australian Financial Review article: Gravitas, the X factor of leadership, can be cultivated).
